Prior to forming YMNet in 2003, Bill and Levin worked together in IT for several years. Technology and internet were moving rapidly and schools needed to adopt their curriculum to new technology to enhance the education of their students. Bill and Levin saw that schools were finding it challenging to provide safe, reliable, and secure access to technology as well as guidance on how to invest and standardize in the correct hardware and software. After helping a school that had all of it's computer systems infected by the MSBlast virus, they decided to start a company that was not just a vendor, but a partner for technology.
